Scholarship Help Is Available for 2009

We plan to offer this $250 scholarship again for the class of 2009. This scholarship is available to high school seniors (Class of 09) planning to attend a two- or four-year college or university, technical or trade school.

To apply you must read the book, High School’s Not Forever and submit a 300-500 word essay describing how one of the stories in the book has helped you during your high school years. Be specific as to which story and how your situation was similar to the one presented in High School’s Not Forever.

Click here to send us your essay via email. OR, you can mail your submission to:

Walden, New York 12586

Or fax your submission to 505-323-9045.
The deadline for submitting your essay is August 1, 2009.

Important:

We need to know how to get in touch with you. This means a phone number, street address, and/or an email address (one that will accept an email response from us!)

While we are unable to acknowledge each submission individually, we may need to contact you at some point, and will certainly want to be able to reach you if your essay is chosen for the scholarship award. One 2008 candidate lost out on a scholarship offer after numerous attempts to get in touch were ignored! Don’t miss out because we have no way to send you a check!

2008 Scholarship Recipient to be Announced Soon

We received a tremendous response to our 2008 scholarship offer and both Eric and Jane want to thank every single person who took the time to send us an entry.

Every essay we received was worthy of consideration for this award. Narrowing down one recipient from over 700 entries proved to be much more difficult than either of us anticipated.

The scholarship for 2008 has been awarded and the name and essay of the recipient will be announced shortly. We will be adding many of the submissions to this site and will announce when these essays have been added.

Thank you for visiting this page. We look forward to hearing from you.
